On New Year's Day, Mr. Rat family comes to a shrine. They
are at the far end of the approach in front of the shrine.
"Let's toss the change in the offering box and ring the
bell to let the gods know that we are here," Mr. Rat says to his
family. They will then clap their hands twice and pray for their good
health throughout the year.
